Partners in the project are developing tools to:

a) visualize search results with different criteria (timeline/historical contextualization)

b) use face recognition to display search results

c) display subtitles with hyperlinks

d) synchronize subtitles & transcripts

e) transcribe videos

f) do audio descriptions

Subtitling/translating tools (e.g TED tool for subscribing).

Multiscreening, enjoying content on mobile and tablet devices, pointing to content (e.g. through Facebook) and getting recommendations from researchers.

Tools mentioned were:Popcorn JS, YouTube, Vimeo, HTML5 for

mobile and tablets.

2 popular tools that in participants’ opinion are cool

create something new using EUscreen material (uploading personal videos and mixing them with EUscreen content), interact with the material (e.g. games/quiz), engage audiences in F2F events (e.g. festivals, film clubs, private screenings, classes), motivate storytelling (e.g. on old folk ), visualize (geographical and time base results), and contextualize AV material by asking the audience (who is in the video? how is this famous person doing after 30 years?, what is this product?).

The host presents the video briefly (2min)

Take 10 min to think individually about a story in which this video is a part. It is about a dialogue between the clip and yourself. Imagine being the audience of this serie. What are the memories that link moments in your life with the video? If you do not have them, invent them.

1st TASK

Tell your story

Each participant of the group tell the story, imaginary or true, related to the video. (10min)

Choose one the stories and contextualize it. When has happened? Who was involved? What was going on at that moment in this country? When in your country appear this types of clips? (5 min).

Leave the cards and the stories in the station and move to the table where another group has been.
