during 1950 in USA.• Geared up after 1960s.• Heavy influence from Blues, Rhythm and Blues (RnB) and Country

music.• Electric Guitar, Drum and Bass as the major instrument.• Hard Rock, Blues Rock, Progressive, Punk Rock, Glam Rock,

Alternative Rock, Metal etc.• Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimi

Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Metallica

Rock Music In Nepal• Started during 1970s, Hippies in Thamel.• Bands used to cover the songs of western bands• No own compositions during 70s to 80s.

• Pop rock element like The Influence and Crossroads.• Own compositions

• 1990s, where the Rock begins.• Newaz, Cobweb, 1974 AD, Mukti and Revival, Robin and Looza.

• Cobweb, as a popular mainstream rock band produced its first commercial music album.

• Rock was not accepted in Nepalese society then.• Drugs, anger,violence etc

• No assurance of relying upon music.• Talented musicians quit in long run.
