Service  Design  for  Elderly:    New  ways  of  service  producHon  2010-­‐2013  •  Working  as  Research  Director  in  a  research  

project  funded  by  TEKES  (Finnish  Funding  Agency  for  InnovaHon  and  Technology)

models  to  support  independed  living  of  the  elderly  and  the  handicapped  elderly

Developing    new  services  for  diabetes  paHents  at  Cape  Peninsula  University  of  Technology  

INDEHELA (Informatics Development for Health in Africa), www.uku.fi/indehela, is a long term North-South-South partnership in research, development and education to improve healthcare services in Africa through the development of appropriate organizational information systems.

Goals of the service design workshop at the Cape Peninsula University of in February 2010 were to teach service design methods, participate the users in the service development and develop new solution for home-based care of type two diabetes. 1) Picture above: Sofia, Muniba and Anton working with

Working  as  a  Principal  InvesHgator  in  a  research  project  funded  by  TEKES  (Finnish  Funding  Agency  for  InnovaHon  and  Technology)  

Project  goals  are:  a) Create  new  service  pla^orms  and  user  interface  concepts  that  uHlize  well-­‐being  technology  b) Create  a  product  development  model  using  service  design  c) Produce  technological  soluHons  for  accessible  leisure  and  tourism
