These are the requirements to work here. We are in search for a Director of Program Delivery for our Virginia Beach Institute. This role is the face to our Fellows, the Virginia Beach faculty and coaches, Tidewater Community College, and the Hampton Roads business community. You will be responsible for delivering world-class THF Career Transition Institute programs and events at our Virginia Beach facility. You will facilitate the Virginia Beach classroom experience, provide necessary administrative and logistics support for our Virginia Beach programs and events, and coordinate with THF staff to provide the support necessary for our Fellows to experience a world-class program and eventually get hired. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Title: Director of Program Delivery Full-time/Part-time: Full Time FLSA Status: Exempt Supervisor: Vice President, Chief of Curriculum Department: Virginia Beach Date Prepared: 10/26/2016 GENERAL SUMMARY: The Director of Program Delivery is responsible for The Honor Foundation (THF) Career Transition Institute programs delivered at the THF Virginia Beach, VA location. This position is responsible for: ● (50%) Coordinating with the VP, Chief of Curriculum and Operations Manager for all operational

and delivery aspects and data collection of assigned East Coast programs and events including: o THF Career Transition Institute Programs o THF Information Sessions o THF Special Events

● (25%) Managing communications, facilitating connectivity, and maintaining close working

relationships with three of THF’s main Tribes:

1. THF Fellows & Alumni 2. THF Executive Coaches 3. THF Faculty / Speakers

Other important relationships that will require the attention and frequent interaction from our Director of Programs are THF mentors, executive sponsors, employer partners, and Tidewater Community College – Virginia Beach (TCC-VB) campus staff through continual contact both in person and via email and/or telephone. Major responsibilities for this aspect of the position include: ● (25%) Coordinating with the VP, Chief of People for job placement support including:

o Identifying THF Fellow geographic and industry / industry function preferences. o Developing relationships with Hampton Roads area and East Coast businesses who may

become potential Executive Sponsors/employers. o Promotion and cross-selling of THF programs and events.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ● Develop and document a schedule and operational plans for East Coast program delivery,

maintaining complete files on all programs, to insure smooth delivery of future program offerings and also updates schedule on a regular basis when changes are made.

● Actively participate in program planning meetings as well as post-program debrief meetings for THF East Coast programs.

● Ensures effective facilitation and delivery on all operational aspects of assigned East Coast programs or other events in collaboration with the VP, Chief of Curriculum, THF Staff, Fellows, faculty/staff, mentors, coaches, TCC-VB facilities, computing and audio-visual departments, and catering.

● Manage pre and post course communications with East Coast Fellows. This includes preparation of welcome letters, logistics information, assessments, attendance verifications, ensuring all teaching materials and other logistic information is posted on a timely basis, both pre and post program. The Director of Program Delivery also manages the assignment of wi-fi access for Fellows, faculty/speakers, and coaches for each program.

● Participates in key East Coast activities (meals, classes, special events, networking events) to enhance communications, provide support and address issues as they arise.

● Manages the East Coast evaluation process and tracks follow-up items; proposes solutions and/or improvements to the VP, Chief of Curriculum and THF staff regarding long-term program needs.

● Address, either directly or through other staff, any Fellow or faculty/speaker requests as they arise. ● In partnership with the VP, Chief of Curriculum, supports efforts to expand and further identify

potential East Coast Fellows, faculty/speakers, mentors and coaches. This involves research into universities, companies, industries and local academic and business leaders.

● Manages the East Coast budget for the program delivery that balances the goal of providing exceptional customer service within prescribed cost parameters. Budget items include program teaching materials, food, administrative/office supplies and special events. The position negotiates with third-party vendors of these services and prepares invoices as required.

● Oversees all other THF Virginia Beach program administration and logistics with the goal of providing extraordinary customer service.

● In partnership with the VP, Chief of People, supports efforts to find meaningful employment for THF Fellows. This involves identifying Fellow geographic and job preferences as well as expanding and further identifying potential Executive Sponsors and Employer Partners.

● Act as representative of THF to the Hampton Roads and surrounding area business community. This may include travel for special promotions, event marketing, and event management.

● Promote THF events and services through cross-selling initiatives via telephone, through attendance at breaks, receptions, meals, and other special events.

● Serve as the primary or secondary contact for organizational partners. Respond independently to questions from sponsors and participants.

● Perform special tasks as required.

EDUCATION: ● Four-year college degree preferred EXPERIENCE: ● At least five-seven years of business experience. ● Three to five years of experience in talent development/training preferred. ● Three to five years of experience in talent recruitment preferred. ● Experience in event planning and facilitation preferred. ● Experience with apple & google software, database and internet applications required. SUPERVISION: ● Position does not have any positions reporting to him/her. KNOWLEDGE: ● Thorough understanding of THF course offerings and the ability to convey the information to

potential Fellows and Tribes fluently. ● Familiar with the THF mission, vision, goals, values and guiding principles. ● Working knowledge of use of office machinery. SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS: ● Expertise in the use of multiple computer software including but not limited to: Word, Excel,

PowerPoint, Gmail, Google Docs. ● Preferred to have experience with SalesForce, Slack, Yesware, Expensify, and other THF

utilized software/apps. CONTACTS: ● Primary contact for THF Fellows. ● Works directly with THF staff and TCC-VB in order to plan, promote and execute events. ● Networking within the local business community to develop relationships leading to Executive

Coaches, Faculty & Speakers, Executive Sponsors, Employer Partners, and Mentors ● Contact with outside vendors for: off-site meals, photographers, shipping, supplies,

framing/certificate preparation, transportation, travel, tours, entertainment, and services purchased or organized through THF.

demeanor; good judgment; be culturally sensitive. ● Excellent writing and proofreading skills. ● Excellent organizational and project management skills. ● Strong attention to detail. ● The incumbent is required to keep up to date with software programs relevant to position

including new educational developments, methods, and techniques.

● Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and remain cognizant of deadlines and schedules.

● Ability to work well with faculty, staff, outside service providers, program participants, and general public.

● Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and suggest/provide solutions.

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: Fast-paced environment. Adaptability and agility required. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Manual dexterity using computer keyboard. May be required to lift and transport materials up to 50 pounds in weight. OTHER: Extensive evening, weekend work and travel often required.
