Founded by owner and director Rhys Bennett, Xemplar Project Management (XPM) guides subcontractors through the associated risks in subcontracting with building contractors. As a licensed builder Rhys brings over 15 years experience as a demonstrated commercial construction Project Manager & Contract Manager for many of Queensland & New South Wales Top Tier builders. Rhys and his skilled team have successfully worked on numerous, diverse and complex projects from tender to practical completion. XPM SERVICES

ADMINISTRATION  

A comprehensive administration service offered remotely, to guide your project successfully through the complexities of your contractual obligations. We recognise and identify opportunities to save you money. Our administration only service includes:

• Complete management of all variations to the subcontract; • Preparation, submission and certification of progress claims; • Management of and identifying new drawing changes and associated costs. • Correspondence with the building contractor’s representatives.

This is our most utilised service suited to rapidly evolving projects with a relatively tight budget.

Enable one of our qualified team to deliver real results, on site. Cohesive operations are not always achieved through effective contract management alone. We assist in maintaining relationships with the building contractor and act as a point of call for your site personnel. The benefit of having a project manager allocated to your individual project is to ensure the communication line is transparent between your own workforce, and the building contractors’. Our active presence ensures the smooth running of operations on site and to ensure the building contractor’s expectations are met, and performance requirements are upheld. Site support service includes our full administration service above.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

 

Financial Management provides the highest level of service incorporating the Xemplar Cost Management System (CMS). In addition to your own project manager and administration service you will receive a concise system of reporting, enabling control over your projects financial success. We record and report all commitments and expenditure, and provide regular progress and cost reports. See (CMS) for more information.

 Contracts are drafted to shift risk to lower tiered parties. We recognise this trend, and provide an up-front risk analysis outlining your obligations under the proposed form of subcontract, making recommendations on how your risk can be mitigated. We provide you with a clear understanding of your subcontract responsibilities and identify risks before you commit to a discerning agreement. We support you, allowing you to negotiate the terms of your subcontract.

We have developed our very own structured Cost Management System (CMS) to achieve your cost management objectives. Our framework is based on proven and practiced solutions and provides regular progress and cost reports. Our unique CMS system enables:

• Forecasting of costs; • The recording of actual costs; • Reporting of actual against budgeted costs; • The ability to report and analyse expenditure via a cost summary.
