Motion Graphics and Animation (Year 1)The Industry is changing and Motion Graphics and Animation (MGA) at North West Kent College have adapted their Btec Diploma in Creative Media Production (Interactive Media) course to respond to current industry requirements. 

Employers are searching for talented designers and artists with technological knowledge and strong industry based skills, our course covers the principles of graphic design as well as specialist knowledge of 2D and 3D animation, motion graphics and special effects. 

The MGA studio is equipped with both Mac and PC providing access to current software such as Autodesk Maya, Adobe after Effects, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro. As which is updated on a regular basis by our Creative Mac Instructor who also supports the lecturers. 

MGA aim is to start at the bottom and work up. The majority of our applicants join our course with little or no experience in this area of work, leaving the course with a high standard of skills enabling them to progress to University or work within the industry. 

1st year projects include; Character Creation (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash & After Effects) Principles of Animation, 2D Animation (Adobe Flash) Motion Graphics (Adobe After Effects, Photoshop & Illustrator) 3D Modelling for games (Autodesk Maya) Ident (Adobe Master Collection & Autodesk Maya) Portfolio Development - Producing a digital and print Portfolio (Blog & Website) 

The course will equip you to work in a wide range of jobs across the expanding world of

Motion Graphics and Animation in Media, Games, Film, TV, Mobile and Advertising industries including:
