LIVEXCHANGE?

• Business Facilities LiveXchange is a one-of-a-kind event that helps companies narrow their site selection search.

• Executives in expansion or relocation mode face a significant challenge in deciding where to move their business. Finding the right location is a difficult, time-consuming and expensive exercise. To respond to this challenge, Business Facilities created its invitation-only LiveXchange event.

• Attendees participate in one-on-one meetings with economic development organizations from cities and states across North America to discuss their specific projects and gain an understanding of the benefits that each location can offer their company. Site selection consultants who are working on projects for their clients are also encouraged to attend LiveXchange.

• Our Executive Conference program offers attendees the opportunity to learn site selection strategies from industry experts.

• Multiple networking events allow attendees to make valuable professional connections.

• LiveXchange is not a typical trade show. There

are no exhibition halls or product demonstrations.

LiveXchange takes place at a high-end resort in

order to take our attendees away from their

regular work day and enter into meetings in a

focused, business-like setting.

• LiveXchange is completely free of charge.

There’s no cost for your event registration, hotel

stay, meals or networking events. Plus, you’ll get

a $350 travel stipend.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND LIVEXCHANGE?

• The objective of Business Facilities LiveXchange is to help executives find new locations

for their expansion or relocation projects. Anybody who is involved in the site selection

process for their company should attend, including:

• C-level execs, Presidents and Owners

• Corporate real estate executives

• Tax and incentives management

• VPs of Facilities

• Site selection consultants

• Previous attendees have included representatives from General Electric, Lockheed Martin

Space Systems, DuPont, Toyota, ADP and many more large and mid-sized companies.


HOW DO YOU REGISTER TO ATTEND?

• LiveXchange is an invitation-only event. Only qualified professionals with expansion or relocation projects are invited to attend. In order to secure an invitation, prospective attendees are required to fill out an application at www.BFLiveXchange.com.

• In order to qualify, the following criteria must be met:

• Currently conducting or about to start a preliminary search, or have ongoing projects

• Plan to make a final location decision on where to expand/relocate between May 2014 and 2016

• The project will result in at least one of the following over three years:

• 40 full time jobs (or equivalent) created or

• $1 million in payroll, including health and retirement benefits or

• $2 million in capital investment

• All applications are reviewed and final decisions are made within one week.

HOW DO YOU REGISTER TO ATTEND

LIVEXCHANGE?

• While LiveXchange is a free event, a credit card hold is required before the

application can be submitted. This is done for two reasons:

• Since there are a limited number of attendees approved to attend

LiveXchange, this ensures that only serious parties complete an

application and other interested parties aren’t locked out.

• Once an application is submitted and the attendee is approved, all

arrangements, including the hotel stay, dining plans and networking events

are made. The credit card hold is protection against a last-minute

cancellation, which has an impact on everybody’s schedule.

• The credit card will never be charged if the approved applicant either attends

LiveXchange or cancels before March 1, 2014 .


HOW DOES LIVEXCHANGE WORK?


THE LIVEXCHANGE ITINERARY

• At the core of LiveXchange are the one-one-one

meetings that take place between attendees and

the economic development organizations. These

meetings are structured to allow attendees to

evaluate which locations are best-suited for their

expansion or relocation proejcts.

• Before the event, all approved attendees have the

opportunity to choose which locations they’d like to

meet with onsite, ensuring that their time is spent

in the most effective manner possible.

• Once all selections are completed, our

matchmaking system will create a personalized

itinerary that each attendee will follow throughout

the course of the event.


THE LIVEXCHANGE ITINERARY

• Personalized itineraries consist of individual meeting schedules, educational sessions and networking events. These itineraries are sent out before the event in order to allow attendees to prepare for their meetings in advance.

• One-on-one meetings are held between attendees and economic development organizations that have expressed a mutual interest in meeting with one another. All meetings are private and are 25 minutes in length. Attendees can expect to participate in approximately 10-13 one-on-one meetings over the course of the event.

REFERRAL PROGRAM

• The Business Facilities LiveXchange Referral Program rewards

you for recommending a colleague or business associate to attend

LiveXchange.

• For every person whom you refer who is then approved and

attends LiveXchange, you’ll receive a $200 American Express gift

card. If the person you refer is from within your own company, that

person must have their own relocation or expansion project(s) and

follow their own meeting itinerary at LiveXchange.

• There is no limit to the amount of individuals that you can refer or

the amount that you can earn. Gift card(s) will be provided to you

upon the completion of the event by the approved attendee(s) you

FREE VIP EXPERIENCE:

• In addition to all of the benefits that you receive from attending LiveXchange, we’re excited to

announce that the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and the Myrtle Beach Regional

Economic Development Corporation have invited our attendees and their families to extend their

stay in Myrtle Beach and experience all that the area has to offer…at no additional cost . Attendees

can extend their travel dates to arrive either before the event (April 4-6, 2014) or afterward (April 8-

10, 2014) and continue their stay at the Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort at Grande Dunes, the location

of Business Facilities LiveXchange.

• In addition, attendees will be able to choose from one afternoon or evening excursion per day to

enjoy alone or with their families while at Myrtle Beach. The additional hotel nights and excursions

are free of charge (additional airfare and meals will be at the attendee’ expense).

• This offer is limited to the first 20 attendees to LiveXchange and expires on January 31, 2014.

WHAT’S THE CATCH?

• There is no catch. LiveXchange is completely free to attend. While attendees are

responsible for their airfare and ground transportation to and from the event, we’ll provide

a stipend of up to $350 to help offset that expense.

• This is not a “timeshare” meeting. Attendees will not be asked to sit through long

presentations in exchange for their participation.

• Attendees have only one obligation – to follow their meeting itinerary, which includes all of

their prescheduled one-on-one meetings, meals, educational sessions and networking

events.

• Our goal is to make this the most productive two days out of the office for all of our

attendees.
