Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was born in 18th July, 1918 and died 5th Dec 2013 at the age of 95. He served as a President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He was revolutionary, politician, philanthropist, anti-apartheid and the first black president of South Africa. Father of Nelson Mandela died when he was 9 and the local tribal chief look him in. Since his childhood he wanted to take active part in freedom fights of his people. He has completed his primary school in Qunu then he take admission in University College from Fort Hare for a Bachelor of Arts Degree, but did not complete it as he has taken part of student protest. After that he went to South Africa and taken admission in the University of South Africa and completed his BA there and then he went back to Fort Hare for his graduation in 1943. He began studying for an LLB from the University of the Witwatersrand, but as a poor student he has to leave the University in 1948 without completing the graduation. Then in 1989 when he was in the last months of his imprisonment he obtained an LLB degree though the University of South Africa. Nelson Mandela joined the African National Congress in 1944 and in the same year he married Walter Sisulu’s cousin Evelyn Mase, a nurse. They had two sons and two daughters, one daughter died in infancy. His marriage ended in 1958. He was the freedom fighter, moral compass and the symbol of the South African struggle against racial oppression. He served 27 years in prison and after that lead the country out of decades of social policy. "As I walked out the door toward the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didn't leave my bitterness and hatred behind, I'd still be in prison," Mandela said in 1990. He is the inspiration of all and despite of terrible aggravation, he never answered racism with racism. In his lifetime, he was the man of complexities. After the retirement of his prudency in 1999, he was believed the ideal head of the state. He was last seen in 2010 World Cup hosted by South Africa in public.
