These ten acoustic songs are wide-eyed innocent Ubie's love note to the world. A tad slower than midtempo, they pair Ubie's tremulous voice with flanged guitar and twee keyboards. If the songs were loopier, they could be written off as the stoned after-effects of Beck's early work. Instead, they are almost startling in their straightforward honesty. Ubie clearly wants to make a difference by opening his listeners' eyes to the world afresh. Titles like "Love is not a Dream" and "For theOne I Haven't Met" read like a teenage love note, and that attitude is mirrored in Ubie's timid delivery, which, brimming with fear, longing and excitement, reminds me of an awkward boy asking out his lady-love for the first time. Thankfully, Ubie goes beyond the "boy really wants girl" formula by asking bigger questions about life and loss of innocence. He sometimes overplays his hand by trying too hard to reach the big insight, but it's hard to fault him because he sounds so earnest while doing it. Enter a dreamy, stoner, surrealist world filled with fused melodies and original wierdo soundscapes. When these elements are brought together and developed through space and time, an interchanging stylistic mood is created, perfect for any party. With original backing melodies and beautiful midi sequenced transitions, this new CD by Ubie opens up to both the dance floor and thematic atmospheres. Both ambient, tripped out sweeps with high energized 9o's rave style beats, "The After Effect", is a well produced collection of innovative sound waves. Although this would be the latest Ubie view production, it is interesting to note that this CD not only contains the most recent creations but also incorporates some of the first ever Ubie electronic productions. With this in mind a listener of "The After Effect", is truly in for a growing artistic journey that will guide them through the years 2001-2007. There are also 3 songs from the acoustic album "The Learning Process" 2004 which have been remixed into new electronic classics almost unidentifiable to their original inspirations. There is much creative growth found within these tracks as well as the soul some misled people have said is missing from all electronic music.

While traveling between the years 2005 through 2007 , using throw away cameras and a camera-cell phone, I was able to capture many beautiful scenes across the country.

I was able to stock pile photographic images from Stratford Connecticut to Seattle Washington and all the points in between. From the east coast to the West coast moving through the southern route, the cameras lens captured natures most beautiful elements
