After the line was cleaned and the corrosion pits filled with a high compressive strength filler compound, PowerSleeve® was used to inhibit further corrosion and restore integrity to the piping system. Approximately 18 feet of piping plus an elbow were repaired.

Acid vapors eroded a hole in the top of a storage tank. The hole was patched and the surrounding area reinforced with composite.

This custom built repair clamp didn’t fit, so PowerSleeve® was used to build up the diameter of the line. The end rings on the clamp were installed over the built up area. A modification of this clamp could have taken days with costs in the thousands of dollars.

Attempted repair of leaking joint going into a wall. Surface cleaning was severely inadequate! Adhesion was minimal and caused the repair tofail. The composite was removed, the surface was properly prepared, and the job was done again. Hiring the best pipe repair team is critical for having a functional repair the first install.

A successful repair was completed.

Maximum temperature rating for the standard Flange Repair Ring is 700°F. Standard material is ASTM A516 Gr. 70 Plate, ASTM A193 Gr. B7 bolting and ASTM A194 Gr. 2H nuts. Other materials are available for higher or lower temperatures.NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 compliant materials should also be available.

SOLE MATES TYPE

Welded reinforcing and pressure containing sleeves

They are designed to reinforce non-leaking, weakened, dented or damaged pipelines. The part must fit snugly around the pipe when used for reinforcement applications. Gaps between the pipe and the sleeve, often caused by dents in the pipe, should be filled with a hard-setting grout. The sleeve must be butt-welded longitudinally but it is not necessary to seal-weld the circumferential ends. The line can remain on-stream. Moisture should be prevented from entering the ends of the sleeve.

When used for pressure containment, they must be fully seal-welded to the pipeline in addition to the longitudinal weld. The line may also remain on-stream but the pressure must be a safe level according to DOT regulation 192.713.
