The Best Places to Work in Indiana from Small to Large

If you’re entering the job market or simply looking to improve your current position, the Best Places to Work in Indiana deserves a look.

While salary is quite often the main consideration when applying for or accepting a new position, other factors such as health benefits, the length of your commute or amount of miles the job entails, which can lead to higher auto insurance rates, and work environment should also enter the final equation.

The Indiana Chamber of Commerce came up with its annual rankings of the 100 most favorable places to be employed and it just revealed the final rankings in four separate categories – small, medium, large, and major companies – and recognized the top finishers during an event at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis.

Here are the top-ranked businesses:

Small companies (15-74 employees): • E-gineering, a technology consulting firm on the

northeast side of Indianapolis

Medium companies (75-249 employees):

• Project Lead The Way, Inc., a non-profit education organization headquartered in Indianapolis

Large companies (250-999 employees):

• Sikich LLP of Indianapolis, an accounting, advisory, technology and managed services group

Major companies (1,000+ employees):

• Edward Jones, an investment firm with 457 branch offices throughout the state

Beyond the top-ranked business, some companies received additional recognition by earning Pinnacle designations, which is reserved for businesses that have finished first in their category three or more times in a five-year period.

The four 2015 Pinnacle companies honored were :• Microsoft (first in the major employer category in

2013-2014 and in the large category in 2011-2012),• Edward Jones (top in the large employer category

from 2006-2008), • Sikich LLP (first in the large employer category from

2013-2015) • Hollingsworth & Zivitz (atop the small employer

category from 2012-2014).
