Everyone is astounded by the lightening infrastructural development in the middle-east. And yes why wouldn’t people be? A lot of development has been observed in the middle-east countries because they have made it real time quick, especially during the last couple of decades. But ever wondered form where did they gather all the resources to bring almost a sudden change in their states? Capital is what they already had in abundance, thanks to all the oil reserves that were explored in that region. Sure capital is the lifeblood of every project but it cannot depend solely on it, what is also required is the skilled labour that and the workforce that drive the project. It is kind of next to impossible to come up with some brilliant ideas of infrastructural development in such a short period of time of and so – Import the required manpower. That’s what they came up with. If you are ardent observer of middle-east countries and the news related to it, then you must be aware that most of the workers are expatriates to the countries in the middle-east. And sure these technically skilled labour has played a major role in infrastructural development of Oman.

Labour in the middle-east is hired mainly from the neighbouring countries like that of East Asian and South-East Asian countries. For technical expertise they have also allotted the project to the people form the west and European countries. Usually the labour is hired on the contractual basis according to the labour law of respective

countries. For example: Ministry of Manpower in Oman has drawn clear cut rules and regulations in the labour law of their country.

If you observe, the main expertise in every project is provided by some or the other expatriate. So one thing is sure, for infrastructural development quality workforce is essential who will work efficiently. We might have heard some news making rounds that the expatriate workforce are getting absconded, violating the labour laws of the countries but that is the concern of the respective companies for which the labourers work, for how they treat their workers and the employees of their company. As per my knowledge, most of the companies of Oman to be specific, treats their workforce right.

The best known company among them is GALFAR construction and Contracting SAOG headed by Dr P Mohamed Ali which is known for valuing their employees the most and providing them with all the facilities that will be beneficial for employees to give the desired outcome. This has led to creation of a strong bond between employees and the company which has led to increase in fidelity of workers for the company.

These qualities of GALFAR have been implemented by Dr P Mohamed Ali since its incorporation. He has also received many awards for the thought process of maintaining the utmost safety in the organization without ignoring quality.
