Customer Needs Product Management Designs Engineering Builds

Phase 1: Start with something simple that will prove the concept:• Create an iPhone app that supports activities that people are

currently using on Live Nation.• Make it simple, easy, and have it meet an existing need.• Search for concerts by date, location, and artist.• Purchase a concert ticket.

The best iPhone apps are ones that support other online applications: • Facebook • Twitter • Yelp

• Backend (engine, transmission)–Design of sub components in grid.–Tested data flow though entire grid to database.

• Middleware (suspension and frame)–Begun development of middle tier to link backend engine with User Interface.–Begun design of data model for User Interface

•User Interface (body style)–Completed 3nd iteration of the UI: Report Navigator, Report Builder–Completed client side user interface concept model–Began integration of the Atlanta design

Competitive Advantage• we were able to build a business intelligence and reporting tool that goes

far beyond our completion in terms of functional requirements.

• Secondly, We were able to build a tool that is both robust and easy to use. No other competitor has a report building tool that is as easy to use or is as powerful.

• We also have a very attractive user interface that is easy to navigate and fully customizable. No competitor has this either.

• Lastly we were able to introduce new ways of visualizing the data using new metaphors and reports that are also far beyond what the completion is offering.

• We were also able to learn and develop new technologies that could be integrated into the product and resulted in a clear competitive advantage as far as performance and usability are concerned. These new technologies are Flash Remoting and Ajax.
