Netway’s User Centricmethodology v.19

The academic community has developed during the recent years a real multidisciplinary knowledge in behavioral sciences. Netway’s

breakthrough is to have built robust methodologies to bring this from the academic level to a business application.

The Behavioral Strategy helps firms and organizations build and improve their digital interfaces and eBusiness strategies to more effectively acquire, convert and retain the user by understanding issues such as :

The user motivation and decision strategies that differ in their level of importance or interest;

The psychology of how the user think, feel, reason to achieve specific tasks on digital interfaces;

The psychology of how the user is influenced by his or her environment (e.g., culture, family, signs, media, eco-system, …);

The behavior of consumers while surfing or making other decisions on digital interfaces;

Limitations in user knowledge or information processing abilities influence decisions and interface design outcome

Information and Interaction

Architecture

Information and Interaction Architecture is based on Behavioural Strategy. It allows the construction of a structure and a logical organization of the site, which reflects the structure and the logical organisation of the user’s brains.

define information that is present on the site.

validate its pertinence (utility, used means, etc.)

label and organise this information into categories, based on a cognitive logic

ensure processes have been built in function of the mental models of the user

satisfy users in order for them not to quit whilst treating the information

Breaktrough Graphical User

Interface

The stage of the Breakthrough Graphical User Interface is based on the conclusions of the Behavioural Strategy and of the Information and Process Architecture. It allows the construction of graphical interfaces that will generate the expected behaviour of the user.

choose the most pertinent content

organise the geometry of the interfaces in order to guide the user’s eyes

make an architectural plan of the interfaces

guide the design agency in the cosmetic phase of the architectural plan

Objective User Testing

In order to complete the analysis and the development of the site’s architecture, based on the team’s expertise and a range of simulation and prediction tools, and in order to detect all possible major problems users could encounter when visiting a site to complete a certain task, Objective User Testing needs to be organized during the different steps of the mission.

exhaustive measures of behaviour (perceptive, cognitive, affective, movements)

all measures are objective and linked to the business objectives that need to be met

use of state-of-the-art technology and software
