Throughout the course of the economic downturn a small group of mid-sized companies managed to thrive; it was this anomaly that peaked the curiosity of GE Capital’s executive team and led them to seek partnership with a top university to determine the cause of success. It is out of this partnership, with the Fisher College of Business, that a center would be created to become the global thought, practice and education leader on issues related to middle market (mm) companies.
