Morton Michel Announces New MD
Morton Michel Ltd is delighted to announce the promotion of Sue Lee to Managing Director with
effect from February 1st, 2017.
Lee has been Schemes Director at niche childcare insurer Morton Michel since January 2016. She
has been instrumental in successfully moving the childcare schemes to a new Legal Expenses
insurer and devising strategy for all the schemes.
Morton Michel co-owner, Samantha Beere, said: “Sue has done a fantastic job over the past year
as Schemes Director, and we knew she was the right person to appoint as Managing Director at
Morton Michel. She has taken on a number of high level projects and performed them with great
dedication and ability. We look to Sue to continue to improve our work processes, income and
customer service outcomes and show innovation in developing our schemes offering.”
Explaining the reason for the appointment, Beere added: “My brothers and I have run the
business for the past twenty-five years and will remain active in the company. We appointed a
Managing Director to take care of the day-to-day running so we could concentrate on developing
more specialist areas of the business.”
Before joining Morton Michel, Lee successfully set up a new specialist scheme at Howdens. Prior
to that she was MD at Towergate Patrick for several years, where she substantially grew the
income and profitability of their niche care sector business.

with the team to bring further success by continuing to do what we do best – provide our great
specialist products with excellent customer service”
