IntroductionTransportation system has not kept pace with growthAuto-orientation and projected growth is not sustainableAchieving goal of sustainable mobility will require a first-class transit systemSubstantial transit expansion, transit-oriented land use, shifts in pricing of other modes are urgently required to provide competitive mobility choicesPaper presents key attributes and possible features of a future transit system within a bold vision for the GTHA

Where Do We Go From Here?A transformative transit plan will emerge, integrated with the provincial Growth Plan and other papers (e.g. Mobility Hubs, Active Transportation, etc.)Anticipate a number of integrated concepts will be developed and assessed, drawing on the three alternative approaches as starting pointsMore testing and modelling will be needed, leading to benefit/cost comparisonWe are seeking and welcoming input to inform discussions about our next steps
