How to Publish the Magazine?

I would consider publishing the magazine both printed and online (webzine)

I would make the magazine available by subscription only instead of stocking it in newsagents because it would lower the costs of production however it would lower the sales of the magazine

Other similar magazine magazines such as DJ Mag and Mixmag currently do, allows readers to subscribe to a number of magazines for a set amount

Which Publication would I use?

I would use Bauer Media Group as the publisher of my magazine because they currently produce a wide range of a magazines include music magazines such as Kerrang! and Q

My music magazine ‘Residence’ would be good if it was a part of Bauer Media Group because they don’t currently have any House/Dance music based magazines.

Bauer Media are a large publisher of magazine and other media organisations. This means they have a large capital (money) to promote magazines and other products

Which Publication would I use?

Bauer Media also own a ticketing service, this can be useful when the magazine has competitions holds.

Bauer Media have a large sector of the magazine publishing, so they have a big influence and money in that area

Bauer Media also have other brands such as radio stations include 4Music, Kiss and Smash Hits. This would be good for the magazine because they can quickly access music artists without too much problem.

Online Publishing?

I would then publish directly uploaded it onto the magazine’s website which gives the benefit of having no addition website charging money to host the magazine.

I would use the digital magazine publisher called 3D Issue to develop my interactive magazine

This would be a larger payment than the other online publishers such as Issuu and Web Publications, these publisher charge on eitherMonthly plan costing on average a $19 (£15) or a Annual plan $228 (£150)

Online Publishing?

The way the 3D Issue software generates the magazine makes it seem realistic giving control on how and when to turn turn the page.

The generated magazine also gives options to zoom in and out, skip to pages. As well is this you can hyperlink to other website directly from the online magazine, embed videos and sounds to play on demand or automatically.

Overall this Online Publisher gives the best features and will cost less to have in the long run.
