• DON'T COUNTER YOUR MORALS TO COMPETE WITH OTHER BUSINESSES. IF YOUR COMPETITORS ARE USING UNETHICAL PRACTICES, DO NOT FOLLOW ALONG. YOU NEVER HAVE TO SINK LOWER THAN THEY ARE DOING JUST TO STAY IN THE GAME. YOU WILL FEEL A WHOLE LOT BETTER IF YOU FIND OTHER WAYS TO COMPETE WITH THEM.

• HIRE A VARIETY OF PEOPLE TO HELP BUILD YOUR COMPANY. DON'T HIRE A BUNCH OF OTHERS LIKE YOU. THIS WILL LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF INNOVATION WITHIN YOUR TEAM. IT CAN ALSO LEAD TO A COMPANY FAIL.

• IT PAYS TO DEDICATE A BETTER LEADER IF TAKE TIME DAILY TO ASSESSING PROGRESS OF THE TEAM. YOU COULD INVITE A FEW PEOPLE TO JOIN IN THIS ASSESSMENT. THEY CAN MAKE SUGGESTIONS AND CHANGES CAN DISCUSS EVERYTHING.

• YOU MUST SET GOALS FOR YOUR OWN PERSONAL GOALS ARE. KNOW WHAT THE BUSINESS GOALS YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE. THERE HOPEFULLY IS SOME STRONG OVERLAP BETWEEN THEM. YOU SHOULD HAVE THE ABILITY TO WORK ON BOTH. IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO, YOU WON'T HAVE AS MUCH ENTHUSIASM.

• TAKE OWNERSHIP OF YOUR MOUTH. LEADERSHIP MEANS THAT YOU HAVE TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR WHAT YOU SAY AND DEEDS ALIKE. IF YOU HAVE MADE MISSTEPS OR ERRORS, YOU NEED TO MAKE THINGS BETTER. DON'T LOOK TO OTHERS TO HELP YOU FIX IT FOR YOU.

• INTEGRITY AND LEADERSHIP ARE ONE OF THE SAME. INTEGRITY IS ABOUT EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME. LEADING WITH INTEGRITY HELPS ASSURE THAT YOUR TEAM TO STAND BEHIND YOU.

• LEADERSHIP ISN'T ALL ABOUT HOW YOU SHOULD FOLLOW A VISION AND THAT'S IT. YOU ALSO PRESENT YOURSELF USING WORDS.IF YOU MAKE GRAMMAR MISTAKES OFTEN, IT'LL BE TOUGH FOR YOUR BUSINESS PARTNERS OR COLLEAGUES TO LOOK AT YOU AS A LEADER. KEEP THIS IN MIND ANY TIME YOU NEED TO WRITE SOMETHING.

• USE YOUR ROLE TO BUILD A GROUP OF LOYAL PEOPLE WHO ARE STRONG AND CAN WORK WELL TOGETHER. BE A TEAM MEMBER YOURSELF: TALK WITH YOUR EMPLOYEES NEED ANSWERS TO THEIR QUESTIONS AND PROBLEMS ADDRESSED. YOUR EMPLOYEES SHOULD WORK WELL IN THEIR DAY-TO-DAY POSITIONS WITHOUT TOO MUCH INTERFERENCE FROM YOU.

• KNOWING WHAT STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES YOUR TEAM MEMBERS POSSESS IS PART OF BEING A BIG HELP. UNDERSTANDING THEIR DIVERSITY CAN HELP YOU FIND SUCCESS. GET FAMILIAR WITH THE TEMPERAMENTS AND PERSONALITIES OF THOSE ON YOUR TEAM. ASKING THEM QUESTIONS ABOUT THEIR PERSONAL LIFE AND FAMILIES WILL HELP YOU TO GET TO KNOW THEM BETTER AND INCREASE TRUST.
