Tourism has many advantages for the economy:

• Brings money into the country •Provides jobs for the unemployed•Helps stabilsze the economy •Increases exports•Increases small businesses in tourist areas •Promotes the country •More facilities being built•Local community modernised•Development of public services

All of these points help increase prosperity and buy education which will lead to a more educated population. More money to build roads airports and water supplies. Also tourism creates jobs this means more money and a chance to send your child to school. so that they can get better jobs so there is a better chance of the poorer people working their way out of poverty As Kenya is a LCD country

The increased tourist rates and the more available destinations to go to will allow the people of the world to visit Kenya this will allow its tourism to increase and expand so that it can have a good source of income to buy there way out of debt and poverty

The Masai tribe have opportunities to sell carved animals and other gifts in exchange for money also in some cases the tribes are allowed to stay on the land and employed to help with tours of the wildlife parks.

There are many disadvantages of tourism in Kenya for example many of the tours use jeeps these tare up the ground and cause soil erosion and the land is useless unless it is left to grow back

Also the wildlife can be scared off as new buildings or hotels are built near national parks. Also the fact that the jeeps have a presence in the area may cause animals to move on this can effect the food chain.

Also most of the money earned goes back to the great big hotel companies that are based in the UK and the USA.

The Massai also play a big part in the tourism as they can do traditional dancing but . Some tourists may take pictures with them this seems to be mocking their heritage. Some masai tribes are also kicked off their land and the land is used for nature parks and therefore cannot be farmed, this means that they have no way to grow crops to sell and eat for them selves this is seen as unfair as; the land would have been in their families for generations.
