He joined TCS in 1987 after completing his Masters in Computer Applications from Regional Engineering College, Trichy, Tamil Nadu in 1986.
In his previous role as Chief Operating Officer, he was the architect of the new organization structure unveiled in 2008 which created multiple agile business units focused on domains and markets as well as built strategic business units to pursue new initiatives with the ability to invest, develop and mature new ideas.

HISTORY OF TCS TCS was formed in July 1998 to address demand
from mid-sized businesses for a cost-effective, user-friendly, and highly flexible financial management package capable of scaling with a growing organization.
The first ORCA Financial installation was completed in March 2000. Continual enhancements ensure that the application stays competitive at all times while leveraging the business benefits derived from using the latest technologies.
