…how much would that help you?

Half the battle is knowing who is coming to market, when and what they are looking for. If you know that, then you know where to focus your sales and business development effort.

One of the four listing elements we provide is Business Development support to help your sales and business development team with structured support as shown in the specification on the right.

The focus is purely on ensuring that you know who is buying and wherever possible introducing you into the buying process.

So, whenever an opportunity is passed to us either in the form of a tender or one of the supply chain sourcing programmes we run on behalf of buyers, we will pass it to all BEVA listed companies - even if it isn’t relevant to you, it might be useful for you to know about it.

All of these activities are focused on helping your sales and business development team to generate business for your company.

…do you think that would help?

Distributing tenders, PQQs and RFIs is something we are increasingly asked to do for buyers, especially when they are looking for new suppliers to increase the strength and depth of their supply chains. As the pie chart shows it is also something that suppliers like you told us they need more of.

When we are asked to do this, we automatically include any BEVA Enhanced listed companies in the distribution based on the following criteria:

You provide the products or services beingsought either in part or in full.

You operate in the geography the buyer’sproject will be delivered.

You meet the buyer’s requirements or couldmeet the requirement if you chose to.

Where do we get all that information? Your BEVA Enhanced CV, it has everything we or the buyers need to know.

If we provided you sales opportunities ..

Supply  Chain  SourcingInclusion in programmes run by us on behalf of buyers to source new suppliers for specific projects or their supply chain in general

…would your business benefit?

Supply Chain Sourcing projects are an increasingly important activity for the Supply Chain Team.

As the industry grows and buyers need more capacity and capability in the supply chain, they are turning to us and asking us to help them find new suppliers to fit their requirements.

When we run these projects we agree a supplier profile with the buyer and then actively search for companies in the industry, that already fit or could fit the profile.

In these programmes, BEVA Enhanced listed companies will always be our first port of call, because we will have the information needed to measure a company against the buyer’s requirement.

In short, you are always at the front of the queue in Supply Chain Sourcing programmes

…would that help you focus your sales team?

As we all know there is a large and constantly growing pipeline of renewable energy projects from small onshore wind projects to enormous offshore wave and tidal projects.

The pie chart on the left is the analysis of the projects and project pipelines of just 3 European utilities accounting for more than 330 major projects.

All of these need supply chains.

Our project planner gives you the insight into every project we know of around the world:• Its stage of development• What supply chain is required• When it is required• Who the developer is

The volume of information available through the planner will grow out rapidly in the coming months as we bring in more countries and territories into the supply chain structure, including France, Spain, Germany the USA and others.

…would that help you decide where to focus?

This is an area suppliers return to regularly as the graph on the left shows from our annual analysis of the supply chain in 2012.

Our approach is to run a new kind of meet the buyer event – a straight to the point kind of event, focused on business and helping you really understand the buyers are looking for in detail.

Each event focuses on a particular topic from health and safety or competence through to subjects more focused on business development – expert advice on how to complete a tender document to maximise your chances of winning, for example

However the core focus of these events is meeting buyers and being briefed by them on what that they require in order for you to win business from them.

BEVA Enhanced listed companies get first refusal on these events and you should expect to really know what the buyer wants by the end of the event.

If you knew what buyers really want..
