Research Methodology
350 participants
Locals and MNCs
45% females and 55% males
Junior to mid level managers
Ages 28-44 years
Results 1.Engaged Employees – employees who work with
passion and feel happy
2.Not engaged employees – employees who are just
passing their time at workplace
3.Disengaged Employees – employees who are
unhappy and undermine work
Emotional engagement I am excited when I am performing my job
Cognitive engagement I can easily focus on the tasks and assignments when I perform my job
Physical engagement I put my full energy when I perform my job
Over all Engagement
Reasons for Engagement and Disengagement
1. Work-life Balance: My organization provides work-life balance
2. Meaningful Work: My job activities are significant to me
Implications for Managers
More than 50% employees are planning to leave their jobs within a year!
More than 60% employees availed their sick-casual leaves last year
