Global Shapers Program: Why?

• To stimulate and capture the power of the new generation professionals

• To create more international connections

• To facilitate and improve knowledge sharing

• To be the “Employer of Choice” for the best young professionals

Global Shapers Program: What?

• May – June 15 Application period– Global Shaper worldwide can apply (deadline June 15)

• End of June / begin of July– Announcement of selected participants

• July – September– Start virtual team work (NOTE: This won’t take hours each week)

• Purpose: Experience what it is to work in virtual teams on assignments

• 19-22 September– The Global Shapers 2012 takes place in France, three building blocks:

1. Working on a challenge

2. Learning about ARCADIS

3. Physical & out door activities

• > September– Promoting and implementing the outcomes of the challenge within ARCADIS

Global Shapers Program: Update website

– 3.300 unique visitors on the Global Shapers website (total 4.700 visits)– Average website visit duration more than 4 minutes– Most visitors via direct links (55%), local intranet (25%), LinkedIn (5%), Facebook

(5%) and other (10%)– 7% of the website visits with mobile devices– 16 applications

1. Go to www.arcadisglobalshapers.com in order to apply.

- Check the application criteria - If you’re not able to watch the movies due to IT restrictions you can still

apply

2. Fill in your contact information and upload your answer to the application question:

“Hi Global Shaper, what is your new generation idea for ARCADIS?”.

The required fields are marked as required; twitter is for example not required

Be creative, think out-of-the-box, the sky is (almost) the

limit! The only requirements are mentioned below:

1. Your idea should be new/ innovative from a

generation Y perspective– Examples: ideas related to social media,

globalization, recruitment, personal

development, technical innovation etc.

2. Your idea should have a link with ARCADIS– Ideas related to improving ARCADIS or

creating the future of ARCADIS

3. REMEMBER: The idea should be short, to-

the-point, creative, max 50Mb and in English

Selection process

Criteria• Being able to speak English• 0-5 years of general work experience after

graduation• Globally oriented and motivated

Creativity & Content

– The Global Shaper team will screen all applications on the criteria and send a

recommendation list to local HR/Management– The final decision about selecting Global Shapers will be done by local HR/Management– At the end of June / begin July applicants receive our response about their selection

FAQ: What is the challenge about?

- 19-22 of September: Global Shapers will work on a real-life challenge in France• The topic and exact content of the challenge will be announced later

– The challenge is based on three building blocks:

1. Global Shapers Challenge– Global Shapers work together (but also in separate teams) on the overall

challenge

2. Learning more about ARCADIS– Discovering the history of ARCADIS and building on the future

3. Physical & out-door activities– No worries, you don’t need to be a sportsmen to enjoy this!
