They began Computers in Homes in the year 2000 in the lowest decile school in NZ
There are around 100,000 families with school-aged children who do not have a computer and internet for their homework. Computers in Homes helps provide these for families in low-decile schools. See Manukau is that purple dot below Auckland city
Project Management to CIH schools 20 – 30 families per school Refurbished high-end Pentium 4, XP-Pro, Office 2007 20 hours compulsory free training per family $50.00 buy-in per family Graduation celebrations & certificate 6 months free Broadband or dialup 12 month hardware warranty Technical support for user-generated problems WOF and family surveys at 12-18 months
