BRAND ENHANCEMENTSTARFIRE SPORTSStarfire Sports is a successful nonprofit, youth-focused organization
with world-class athletic facilities just south of Seattle. As Starfire
drives additional expansion and seeks awareness to gain more
community support, the organization needs a scalable, flexible
website and the administrative tools that allow users to create,
edit, and post new event details and schedules.
Catalysis evaluated the nonprofit organizational objectives and
existing website-user requirements and aligned potential solutions
within their budgetary guidelines. After careful collaboration with
Starfire stakeholders, Catalysis delivered a customizable toolset and
professional Web property that enables Starfire to attract additional
support and participation while navigating its rapid growth.

PRODUCT LIFECYCLE TRANSPARENCYSTARBUCKSThe Starbucks “From Bean to Bag, The Stories of Our Coffee” project
was a proof-of-concept created as an effort to strengthen customer
loyalty and foster a sense of trust by enabling an instant mobile
connection between the customer and the coffee they were enjoying.
The campaign was executed as an SMS/Mobile browser-based
gateway into the full lifecycle of a specific coffee bean. To learn about
the coffee they were enjoying, consumers would text a code to
Starbucks to learn about their beverage. Customers would learn
about the history of their coffee beverage, what types of beans it
contains, as well as receive special information about bean/beverage
pairings, information on coffee events customized to their Starbucks
store, and other relevant information on Starbucks corporate social
responsibility, or sustainability programs.

CRM DESIGN, EXECUTIONAND MEASUREMENTMICROSOFT WINDOWSThe client wanted to create a stronger online experience for the Windows
brand and share the world of possibilities that exist by living “life without
walls.” Crispin Porter + Bogusky (CP+B), created and launched the “Real PC”
campaign under the Windows Life Without Walls brand umbrella.
As a trusted partner with the experience and authority to build fully
integrated CRM campaigns within Microsoft’s network, Catalysis was asked
by CP+B to design and manage all registration and communication aspects
of the campaign. This included user registration, email communication, user-
experience consulting, privacy and compliance issues, as well as advanced
campaign analytics. Supplementing the campaign analysis, Catalysis implemented
an online dashboard that summarized the full suite of campaign metrics.

CONNECTED HYBRID MARKETINGMICROSOFT SQL SERVERThe Microsoft “Heroes Happen Here” global product-launch events
spotlighted the release of Windows Server 2008, Visual Studio 2008,
and SQL Server 2008 beginning in February 2008. Due to production
delays, the delivery date of SQL Server was pushed back until the
third quarter of 2008. Catalysis advised Microsoft that this delay
provided an opportunity to strengthen its relationship with its
customers by delivering connected traditional and digital
communications to the global audience of interested launch
event attendees until the product shipped.
Catalysis defined the messaging framework, physical distribution plan,
and complex information architecture required to deliver the cadenced
communication campaign that maintained customer enthusiasm and
ultimately increased customer satisfaction during the launch delay.

CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENTMICROSOFT OFFICEIn an effort to increase user satisfaction with the Office suite of
products, Microsoft partnered with Catalysis to design and integrate
a solution that would trigger specific content delivery to existing
Office customers at the appropriate stage of their product lifecycle.
To date, we’ve delivered an 86% increase in customer enrollment
and achieved an average 47% increase in customer engagement.
These highly engaged Office customers have become product
“champions” by consuming and virally sharing the most relevant
product details with their own social networks.

SOCIAL PLATFORM APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT AND CUSTOM CMSBLINGO BLANGOBlingo Blango is designed to become a social network platform and gift
management solution connecting action sports enthusiasts of all ages with
the stuff they really want. Blingo Blango is targeting a common thread between
pre-employed youth that want to discover, upload, create, and share their ultra
specific lifestyle products and content with the gift buyers in their life.
Catalysis was asked to deliver working user interface concepts based upon a
complex relational model. This concept required sound information architecture
and web services that crawl the Web for user relevant product details that are
compiled and returned to the Blingo Blango gift list and purchasing environment.
These features along with a complex sponsor and advertising content management
system allowed Blingo Blango to win additional funding from a multi-national
corporation interested in extending the unique business model and feature set.
