Bottle-to-Bottle (B2B)

Portfolio for PET Recycling

North American beverage manufacturers are seeking a more sustainable solution

for PET containers due to

• rPET reduces our dependence on foreign oil & petrochemicals

• Pound for pound rPET uses84% less energy and reduces greenhouse gas

emission by 71%.

• Improves recyclers yields, reduces rPET supply imbalances and improves cost

• Source of domestic jobs (450,000) & tax revenues ($10.3B)

• Increasing pressure from trade associations

Standard PS and shrink labels limit PET recyclablility, prohibiting recyclability into

food-grade rPET, due to contamination.

Bottle-to-Bottle (B2B)

Solution & Product Description

Product Description

The solution is a “switchable” pressure sensitive

label which adheres to a PET bottle until the

end of the cycle where the cohesive bond is

broken at the recycler allowing the PSL

facestock and adhesive to cleanly separate

from the PET flake. B2B recycling reduces

landfill, enables upcycling (rPET), landfill and

capitalizes on the renewable energy in a PET

bottle.
