The World’s Leading Trade Fair for the Automotive Industry

In autumn 2009 a powerful visitor magnet was added to the West Section of the Messe Frankfurt exhibition centre – the new Hall 11. At Automechanika 2010 it will be home for the first time to exhibitors from the paint, bodywork repair and claims management sectors. With a net exhibition area of 16,000 square metres and its proximity to the thematically linked Halls 8 and 9, it offers exhibitors a particularly attractive architectural framework and more opportunities for larger-scale presentations.

industry have already registered as exhibitors. The new Portalhaus entrance, which links directly to the new Hall 11, now enables visitors to make a complete circuit of the hall, thereby improving visitor guidance in the Western Section. Visitors coming from the Rebstock area can use the Via Mobile moving walkways to go directly to Halls 10 and 9, and from there to Hall 8 or the South-West Outdoor Area. The Automechanika Aftermarket Forum, which is also being held this year in the Portalhaus for the first time, ideally complements this section.

Added value – the marketing machinery of Automechanika

Good marketing depends on experience, international know-how, good tools and the latest techniques. We coordinate inserts, direct mailings and newsletters, as well as maintaining contacts with 1200 trade and business media orga-nisations across the world. Extensive online marketing and our Internet presence (www.automechanika.com) ensure that the event remains a lively topic of discussion despite being held only every other year. And there is certainly plenty to talk about. The breadth of offer at the show provides lots of raw material for events and reports. Plus, the competitions, e.g. the Automechanika Innovation Award, and the Green Directory attract a great deal of attention from the media. With additional publicity and press services especially for exhibitors, we support the marketing activities of participating companies in their preparation for the show.

The new architectural highlight in the Western Section – the Portalhaus and Hall 11.This year’s Automechanika is for the first time home to paint and bodywork exhibitors.

The major themes at Automechanika are:1. Bodywork repair: smart repairs, windscreen repair systems, welding and cutting2. Paintwork and corrosion protection: painting and drying, grinding and filling 3. Claims management: claim settlement systems and calculation, salvage exchanges

“By taking part in Automechanika, we hope to draw international attention to our environmental services. In Hall 11 we can optimally showcase our new products for paintwork preparation, corrosion protection and repair work.”

Norbert Kraft CEO of MAKRA

“Having exhibited for many years at Automechanika, we are looking forward to the new Hall 11.1 where paint and bodywork are together under one roof for the first time. The main beneficiaries here will be trade visitors, many of whom use equipment from both seg ments in their opera-tions. The new arrangement means they will be able to make their visit to the show more effective and therefore save time. For us, the concentration in one exhibition hall will lead to a further increase in the number of visitors and make the special show more attractive. What is of particular importance for SATA is the proximity to the new Portalhaus entrance, which offers our target group the opportunity of an early – and relaxed – visit to Hall 11.1.”

Albrecht KruseChief ExecutiveSATA GmbH & Co. KG

“We see Automechanika as an impor-tant indicator of the willingness to invest in workshop equipment. In terms of the new Hall 11, it’s bringing a fresh feel to Automechanika and we’re looking forward to being in this hall and exhibiting in a new location.“

Peter SiegertDivision ManagerAlbert BernerDeutschland GmbH

“The new concept corresponds to the reality of the market. For instance, many operations combine paintwork preparation and bodywork under the one roof. The new hall offers visitors the ideal venue, giving a maximum overview of the market at minimum effort. For us as exhibitors this is an opportunity to showcase our range of products not only for surface treat-ments but also for the bodywork sector.”

Ronny LinkskogHead of Automotive SystemsFestool GmbH

“For 16 years Automechanika has been the leading automotive trade fair for us. As a medium-sized business it is essential that we take part. The outstanding international profile of Automechanika helps us to gain new customers. We are very much looking forward to Hall 11. We agreed to come as soon as we heard about the com-plete presentation of paint and body-work in Hall 11. We are sure that Automechanika will again be a ground-breaking event.”

Nikolas AicheleDINOSAURIER-WERKZEUGE

“In view of the fact that Automechanika has been Europe’s most important inter national trade fair for automobile paintwork repairs with a fixed place in the calendar of events for two decades, we are very pleased that this segment has been given the privilege of moving into Hall 11, the new showpiece of Messe Frankfurt. It is essential that Automechanika continues to offer a com prehensive overview of the sector and, there fore, remains attractive to

laus FritzscheChairman of the Board of MIPA AG

“We’re exhibiting for the first time at Automechanika in Frankfurt, right next to our trade association, the ZKF (German Association for Motor Trades and Repairs). The focus on paint and bodywork in Hall 11, as well as the addition of claims management, promise the perfect stage to showcase our services and hold forward-looking discussions. For us, Automechanika has a clear significance in the industry and therefore guarantees an interested trade audience.”

Peter BörnerExecutive DirectorEurogarant AutoService AG

“The new Hall 11 is a very attractive and modern high-tech hall with natural lighting and an absence of pillars on the first floor. Plus, there is the new, impressive Portalhaus with lots of glass and outstanding transport links. For me the new Hall 11 is a step in the right direction and shows how important our industry is to the event. I am convinced that our customers will also be impressed. I’m certainly looking forward to the show this year.”

Thomas WeppnerProduct & Marketing ManagerGB AutomotiveVOSSCHEMIE GmbH

“Automechanika is the leading trade fair in the automobile repair business. It is where we can exhibit our product portfolio to an international audience. With its focus on paint and bodywork, the new Hall 11 promises to become a magnet for our main customer base.”

Werner ReithProduct and Market ManagerAutomotive Aftermarket EuropaHenkel AG & Co. KGaA

“For us Automechanika is always the absolute trade fair highlight of the year. It is the ideal platform both for customer retention and new customer acquisition, as well as being the perfect meeting point for new distribu-tors and business partners. The con-centration on paint and bodywork in Hall 11 is ideal for us as this enables us to reach the target group for our globally unique repair concept even more effectively.”

The new Portalhaus entrance now enables visitors to make a complete circuit of the Western Section.
