The quality of a surface is essential for a first and lasting impression of any object to his buyer. Eye-catching colour shades, high-gloss coatings and highly resistant paints out of many different areas of consumer goods also increase the expecta- tions in industrial goods. Not many customers accept damaged surfaces already at the time of delivery even when it comes to industrial goods which are exposed to a heavy impact later on. The rising number of users do appreciate clean and damage-free surfaces during the use of machines, commercial vehicles and buildings. Retained values, cleanness and an appealing look stand for a trademark of a successful company in the pre- sent as well as in the future. In the Mipa product range you can find several solutions for the efficient and high quality spot repair and main- tenance on nearly every surface. To- day through mixing systems such as Pro Mix ® Industry or Pro Mix ® Aqua approximately 10.000 colour shades in over 65 solvent based and 25 wa- ter based standard qualities can be produced in a short amount of time and in package sizes as required. The system allows an ex- act imitation of all solid colours plus several me- tallic colours in all gloss degrees. Therefore fleet colours or assimilations of spot repair coatings on existing areas are possib- le without any problems. With a high amount of installed mixing sys- tems all over Europe, the purchase of every pro- duct can take place de- centralized at any time. Mipa has developed an outstanding competence when it comes to aero- sol-spray technique. Starting even with one spray can, individual colour shades and gloss degrees can be of- fered. Combined with a broad selec- tion of primers and other tools, every spot repair work can be solved easi- ly, fast and in perfect quality. One va- luable opportunity is the filling into 2K-spray cans. Those aerosol cans are pre-filled with hardener. After ad- ding the specific paint the user only needs to “activate” the can shortly before processing so that coating and hardener are mixed and a proper 2K-coating with its standard pot-life is available including all quality fea- tures and resistances. The quality of a surface is essential for a first and lasting impression of any object to his buyer. Eye-catching colour shades, high-gloss coatings and highly resistant paints out of many different areas of consumer goods also increase the expecta-tions in industrial goods. Not many customers accept damaged surfaces already at the time of delivery even when it comes to industrial goods which are exposed to a heavy impact later on. The rising number of users do appreciate clean and damage-free surfaces during the use of machines, commercial vehicles and buildings. Retained values, cleanness and an appealing look stand for a trademark of a successful company in the pre-sent as well as in the future.

In the Mipa product range you can find several solutions for the efficient and high quality spot repair and main-tenance on nearly every surface. To-day through mixing systems such as Pro Mix® Industry or Pro Mix® Aqua approximately 10.000 colour shades in over 65 solvent based and 25 wa-ter based standard qualities can be produced in a short amount of time and in package sizes as required. The system allows an ex-act imitation of all solid colours plus several me-tallic colours in all gloss degrees. Therefore fleet colours or assimilations of spot repair coatings on existing areas are possib-le without any problems. With a high amount of installed mixing sys-tems all over Europe, the purchase of every pro-duct can take place de-centralized at any time.

Mipa has developed an outstanding competence when it comes to aero-sol-spray technique. Starting even with one spray can, individual colour shades and gloss degrees can be of-fered. Combined with a broad selec-tion of primers and other tools, every spot repair work can be solved easi-ly, fast and in perfect quality. One va-luable opportunity is the filling into 2K-spray cans. Those aerosol cans are pre-filled with hardener. After ad-

ding the specific paint the user only needs to “activate” the can shortly before processing so that coating and hardener are mixed and a proper 2K-coating with its standard pot-life is available including all quality fea-tures and resistances.

The smallest possible unit of spot repair coatings are touch-up pencils. Even in this area you can find dif-ferent qualities, colour shades and

gloss degrees.

Whether there are vehic-les, aircrafts, machines, control panels, construc-tions made of steel, roof tiles or window frames – Mipa’s solutions for spot repair and maintenance are used world wide and create excellent first im-pressions as well as a lasting perfect look on all surfaces.

Sportive coatings

Static charge not only endangers sensitive electronic devices, they also can cause fi-res or explosions in an extreme case. Conse-quently non-metallic surfaces which are not conductive must have an appropriate coating to discharge the static charge.

For mineral surfaces the Mipa Group offers so called ESD coatings out of the Streicolor AG product range. These special coatings are available in the range of primers and top coats containing many different colour shades. In the state of processing by a professional painter, high resistant, decorative and at the same time functional in-

dustrial floor surfaces are appearing. Through the use of synthetic materi-als and lightweight construction ma-terials the static charge problem also raises in the vehicle sector as well as in the construction of aircrafts and machinery. In this case MIPA AG of-

fers different conducti-ve 2K-primers and fillers which are already used by the biggest manufac-turers of airplanes with lightweight and compo-site constructions. The universal re-coatable materials not only func-tion as static discharger but they are also part of a long lasting and extre-mely valuable coating system which fulfill all expectations of airpla-ne producers.

Conductive coatings always have to be calibrated according to spe-cial cases. The MIPA AG would like to provide you with all information needed and is at your disposal at any time with its own techical service for individual tests.

With the presence of the Mipa Group at the interna-tional sport fair trade ISPO 2012 in Munich, MIPA AG showed the world its com-mitment to the coating of sports equipment.

HENESPORT has been one of the world-wide leading manufacturers for ski- and snowboard coatings for many years. Many well-known brands go back to the Henelit GmbH when using varnishes, screen printing ink and primers in their Euro-pean and Asian production. Meanwhile ski poles and ice hockey sticks are coa-ted with Henesport products as well.

When it comes to ski-, bicycle- or horse back riding helmets, glasses for skiing and other sports, water based metallic paints of MIPA AG are mostly preferred. On the one hand this paint needs to be extremely resistant, on the other hand it has to be eye-catching, trendy and it re-presents the latest colours and effects.

High temperature fluctuations, high chemical and mechanical pressure and last but not least long lasting flexi-bility of sport equipments call for high coating standards.

The available surface-effects reach from haptic experiences including soft touch or microstructure paints to tear-effect paints and all kinds of matt coa-tings to really extreme colour effects. An eye-catching design of sport equip-

ment is guaranteed with chrome-like coatings or spe-cial pigments which change colour depending on your viewing angle.

The product range is being rounded off by a special coating system for the ma-terial Carbon fibre which is growing in popularity in the sport section. Customers do not only want to enjoy advantages of this material but they do want to show that their sport equipment is made of Carbon. To protect

those Carbon fibres against weathe-ring you need special varnishes such as the Mipa 2K-WBS-Klarlack Carbo-nic.

Of course many effects can be com-bined with each other and are also useable on all other sport equipment surfaces. With Mipa Professional Coa-ting Systems your creativity has no li-mits.

Neon on individual request

The product range of MIPA AG also inclu-des a wide range of water-based products around the production of formwork material for concrete building.

Classic formwork ma-terials in the form of wood panels have to be coated to be pro-tected from humidity, the weather and che-mical substances of concrete.

Mipa WBS Schaltafel-lack can be ordered in every colour shade and can be used in all com-mon applications. The concentrated Mipa WBS Schalölkonzent-rat is even more water-repellent and can also be ordered in every colour shade. Special putties and coatings for the edges of the formwork pa-nels are added to this product line. But innovative formwork in the con-

crete sector is no longer restricted to rectangular shapes. A solution for absolutely individual formwork offers Styrofoam. Due to the fact that Sty-rofoam is not easy to coat through the lack of resistance against many

solvents, water-based materials can be per-fectly used in this case. The coating can be done in a single coat with Mipa WBS Scha-lungsfarbe available in every colour shade or in a two coat system with Mipa WBS Sty-roporfüller - coloured in your favourite shade - and the transparent Mipa WBS Styropor-decklack.

Mipa WBS Plotter-farbe was especially created for formwork robots. They mark re-cesses on concrete forms with a plotter colour which need to be taken into account

in the subsequent concreting. This plotter colour is also available in eve-ry colour shade and different packa-ge sizes, it’s easy to work with and guarantees the highest precision when using.

The industrial mixing system Pro Mix® Industry was extended by five neon-pigment pastes which are available for all users of this system from now on as an option.

With these pigment pastes all fluores-cent colours after RAL or special and design colours can be produced even in small amounts quick and easy as required.

As usual the pigment pastes can be used for all purposes in all common binder-systems. Ready mixed colours are available in selected qualities which cover the whole range of appli-cations.

An important note regarding fluores-cent colours is the limited light stability.

MIPA products around concrete formwork

For exterior use, therefore, always transparent coatings are required with a high uv-protection such as Mipa 2K-

HS clearcoats. Please note that one coat systems with neon colour shades are for interior use only.

Thick film coatings on the march

In the section of heavy corrosion protection high coat thicknesses are needed to combine active and pas-sive corrosion protection on objects of permanent coatings. Mipa offers a complete coating system as usual over the full range of solid colours.

Mipa EP 164-20 is a thick-film chro-mate-free 2K epoxy primer with acti-ve corrosion protection. This product can be applied directly on steel, zinc, aluminium and mineral substrates and is suitable as primer, intermedi-ate coating over 2K zinc dust paint

or as chemical and under water paint. Dry film coat thicknesses can be reached up to 300 µ. Mipa EP 564-20 high solid 2K epoxy thick-film with alumium pigments fulfills the same functions. Both products are processed with hardener Mipa EP 964-10 mixing ratio 1:1 and suit excellent when processing with Air-less/Airmix.

For top coating the 2K-PU-HS-Dick-schichtlack Mipa PU 264 is available in the gloss degrees 50 semi gloss and 70 silk gloss. Besides the use

in the coating system there is also direct adhesion given on iron, steel and zinc. Tintable through the mi-xing system Pro Mix® Industry this paint is also available in every colour shade as required. With a high sta-bility until 250 µ dry film coat thick-ness machines, parts and construc-tions or commercial vehicles can be coated valuably for the interior and exterior use.

Our Mipa technical service is pleased to give you all information you requi-re about this new coating system.
