Drawing doves with chalk…
2. OWN VERSION OF FAMOUS PICTURES
Las Meninas – Velázquez
Las Meninas - Picasso
Cutting, gluing and using imagination…
…that´s how we created our own version based on Picasso’s version of Las Meninas.
Las Meninas in the Castle
Las Meninas in the Cinema
Las Meninas in the Football Stadium
3. PICASSIAN PORTRAITS
Portrait of Dora Maar
Portrait of Jaume Sabartes
We drew profiles and created “crazy faces” with the help of our scrap box!
… and more faces!
So… we worked on portraits inspired in the very beginning of Picasso´s Cubism. (1st - 2nd
grade)
We also experienced collage to produce Cubist portraits! (2nd
grade)
Sometimes they looked scary! (3rd - 4th grade)
The 1st graders did a great job too!
The kindergarteners made self-portraits with
plasticine
…and varnished the portraits.
That´s the result!
4. PINK AND BLUE PERIOD
Family of acrobats
Poor family by the sea
Picasso was in love…
so… we played with RED and WHITE …to make PINK!!!
And we also played with BLUE and WHITE to convey Picasso´s
sadness.
5. STILL LIFE (2D)
Still life - series 2, nº3
Fruitbowl - nº1
We observed a bowl of fruits, drew them and colour them…
let them dry…
and… here we´ve got some examples!!!
6. Still life (3D) – Final school project:A giant fruitbowl!!!
The starting point for our GIANT FRUIT BOWL was assigning a fruit to each class.
Kindergarten: Tangerine and Orange1st grade: Apple2nd grade: Banana and Cherries3rd grade: Pear4th grade: Strawberry5th grade: Watermelon6th grade: Melon
Then, each class filled a rubbish bag with old
newspapers.
Second, in a bucket we mixed a lot of liquid glue with water.
Third, we put the “cardboard stone” paper into the bucket.
Forth, we left the paper in the bucket for 10 minutes (until it got soft) and then peeled it.
Later on, we glued the paper on the fruit and gently smoothed it down!
2nd and 4th graders working on the strawberry and the
cherries!!!
Then, we wrapped the fruit with tissue paper
2nd graders working on the banana!!!
… and coloured it!!!
3rd graders working on the pears!!
So…that´s all by now!We hope you´ve liked it!!
And… thanks so much for your Christmas cards!!!
