Digital Audio Techniques Television - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIurmAcqn8M The music is the background is only used from their jingle/idents which is only towards the end of the programme, when the audience hear this they know it is the end of the programme, that it has finished. The noise is the background is only of people talking, this is done to create a natural effect/mood on the audience so it looks as if the programme is real life like, this is done throughout the whole 3:14 minutes. There is silence in the programme as joey calls Lauren, there is sill background sound, but this is done to show how Lauren is shocked that joey called her. She stays silent and there is not much background music. There is dialogue used all throughout the programme, because it is a tv programme.

There is no voice overs or any announcements as it Is a tv drama. EastEnders has its ident which is their music which is recognizable music, this is better than a logo as when this happens it means an end of a programme and they normally leave it on a cliff hanger to create more suspense for the next days episode. Character identification is done by the names or even because of the character has been there for a couple months or years. There is a beat when Luran walks out the ‘ queen vic ‘ this is almost showing her heart beat and how frustrated she felt in the moment. The atmosphere was very tense after Lucy came and started talking to Joey while, as the audience you are able to tell how she is feeling because of her facial expressions.

Digital Audio Techniques Radio – BBC Radio 1

The radio show I am doing is BBC radio 1. Whilst this is live there is very quite music in the background this is may done to entertain the dialogue (amongst them talking). The radio show is also having phone ins to talk to guest (Josh Hartner) that is there, they are asking questions, this leads to interviews which are going on between the guest and the host also the audience that is phoning in. There are also announcements about programmes, new music, there is also announcements happening through the phone-ins as they are asking questions. The guest was introduced many times in the programme this is to give identity to who is there. There was a light ambiance as there was a guest, this was creating a good mood for the audience.
