Esref Armagan is a very unusual Turkish painter.

He was born in 1953 in Istanbul.

At 6 years old he began to draw with paper and pencil and later he started painting with oil paints on poster paper.

Eşref is a blind painter, blind from birth.

He has never been able to see nor understand colors as seeing people do but he is drawing picture colorful andrealistic.

Esref Armagan started using colors, perspective, shadow, light and balance in his pictures, he attracted the attention of international arts and scientists.

‘’He paints houses and mountains and lakes and faces and butterflies, but he's never seen any of these things, paintings are disarmingly realistic and his skills are formidable. I have tested blind people fordecades and I have never seen a performance like his. ‘’ says John Kennedy being psychologist at the University of Toronto.
