Questionnaire Feedback“Documentary”

Documentary Questionnaire We gave out our groups questionnaire to 5

people in our class on the finished products including: “Documentary, Print Add, Radio Trailer”.

Here are the results I conducted into pie charts.

1. After watching the first five minutes of our documentary on “Regrets” would you continue to watch the rest?

As you can see 4 people said they would defiantly watch our documentary after seeing the first five minutes and only 1 person claimed they would not.

2. Do you think our documentary has similarities to professional documentaries?

The results show that 5/5 pupils said that they thought our documentary has similarities to professional documentaries.

3. What do you think of the opening sequence?

From collecting the results to question 3 I found that we had 5/5 Great Comments. For Instance:

“Very engaging”

“CATCHES YOUR ATTENTION”

“Clearly represents topic of documentary”

4. Do you think the voice over represents the documentary well?

As you can see from the results, 5/5 people said yes they think the voice over does represent the documentary. Some comments were:

“Very mature”

5.Personally what do you think of the opening sequence?

6. Can you name a weakness of our documentary?

“the image in one of the interviews”

7. Did you personally find our documentary interesting to watch?

From over looking the research I found that 5/5 pupils said yes they did in fact find our documentary really interesting to watch.

8. Did watching the first 5 minutes of our documentary make you think about your own regrets in life?

1 person said No. 1 person said that “they was more focused on thinking

about the people in the documentaries regrets rather than their own personal regrets”.

3 people said yes.

As you can see more people found that whilst watching our documentary they did infact start to think about their own personal regrets they have in life.

9. Would you recommend our documentary to people?

Here, 4/5 people have said they defiantly would recommend our “Regrets” documentary to others.

As you can see 4/5 people said yes the poster is relevant to our choice of theme.

2.Do you think our poster follows the codes and conventions of a channel 4 poster?

The results clearly show that 5/5 people said they do think our poster follows the codes and conventions of a channel 4 poster.

3. Do you think the colours used connote the topic “regret”?

As you can see 3people said “yes” the colours used do connote the topic regret and 2 people said “no”. However, I personally think you can not really label a colour on the topic of regret, its all about personal preference.

4. Can you name one strength from looking at our poster?

“Clear Title”

5. In your opinion, how can we improve the poster?

“You could make the writing in the boxes a little bigger”

“Maybe more colour?”

“Darken the image maybe, so it’s not as bright”

Radio Trailer: Questionnaire Feedback Results

1.Do you think the radio trailer goes with our documentary?

From collecting the results, I discovered that 5/5 people said they think that the radio trailer does go with our documentary.

2. Does the radio trailer make you want to watch our documentary?

As you can see 4/5 people said that the radio trailer does in fact make them want to watch our documentary on “Regrets”.

From overlooking the results I have found that 4/5 people said the do like our groups radio trailer.

“Background music didn’t seem to fit”

6. Does the radio advert highlight the main features of the documentary?

“YES, IT OPENLY TALKS ABOUT REGRET SO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT TOPIC IS BEING PORTRAYED”

As you can see all 5 pupils said that they like the sound effects we used throughout our documentary.

As you can see from the pie chart above, it shows you that 4 people said they think the music does suit the advert. However, 1 person disagreed with this statement.

9. Do you think the voice is clear enough for everyone to fully understand?

From looking at the feedback given to us from the questionnaire, I could see that 4 people thought our voice used for the radio trailer is clear enough for everyone to understand but 1 person throughout otherwise.

10. Before listening to the radio advert, did you ever think about the impact regret can have on somebody?

“Not really, I wasn’t really aware of feeling the consequences

of a regret until I heard this radio trailer”“No I did not”
