THEMES: SPACE AND DREAMINGDreaming and space are the main themes represented throughout the music

video. These themes are represented in both my digipak and magazine advert. The reason why this is the case is because I want continuity to be evident throughout all of my media products. By doing this, I will be able to illustrate to the audience the key themes throughout the music video. • The theme that illustrated the most in all of my products is space is space.

Especially in my magazine background which only consists of a space background. The reason why I wanted this theme to be evident more than others in my magazine advert is because I believe it is the most interesting theme out off all themes evident in all three of my media products

THEME: CHILDISHNESS

• Childishness is also a theme that is predominantly evident in all three of my media products. This is shown by the fact that all the props seen in the music video, magazine advert and digipak are children's items. By having this evident, it allows the audience to see that just like them that the artist also has a childish side to him. This allows the artist to connect also with his childish target audience in the sense that they can feel that they can relate to him. An example of this can be seen in the magazine with the teddy bear in the middle of the magazine advert.

LOCATIONS

• In my music video, there are only two locations. The reason why this is the case is because I want to highlight clearly to the audience when the artist was in reality and when he was not dreaming. The way in which I did this was by having green screen and saturated lighting with special effects such as moving tiles when the artist was dreaming. But when he was not, I had natural lighting and no special effects to show that he was in reality.

ARTIST IDENTITY • The performance style of La Roux is very outgoing but at the same time

conservative outgoing. La Roux in the majority of her music video does very conservative movements which makes the music video conservative but, the use of special effects makes the music video at the same time very outgoing. La Roux is well know for these particular music videos. The same associations that are made about La Roux, are the same associations that I want to be made about my artist. The way in which I did this was by having loads of special effects evident in the music video but the actions of the music video are very conservative. At the same time just as electro-pop artist AVICII would have, I did make the artist always prominent in the music video. This is a popular convention in electropop music videos

LOCATION • The location in which my music video is filmed fits the theme of music and

themes of the song. The main themes of the song are; space childishness and dreaming. Taking into consideration of the song I decided to make the main location of the music video a sitting room full of toys. The second location that I used for the music video was space. The way in which I created this space like location was by using green screening. By having these two locations for my music video, I believe that it will make it easier for viewers of the music video to understand the meaning of the song and also the events happening the music video.

• The images evident in my magazine advert and my digipak are all images that show when the artist is not in reality. By doing this, I was able to indirectly promote the artist style of music. That being that to a certain degree it is not conventional popular genre of music.

FONT

• The font evident in my magazine advert and my digipak are consistent. I used this particular font because it portrayed theme of dreaming and being out of reality clearly. I made a few changes to the font and the way it appears on the magazine advert and digipak. One of the changes that I made was that it appears to have a glow and futuristic effect. The way in which I did this was by making the font brighter and also increasing the size of the font in width. The software in which I did all of this was Photoshop using the text and crop tool.

• By doing this, I would be able to show to the audience the themes and the type of music the artist makes.

COLOUR • Throughout the magazine advert and disipak I created, I made sure that I

kept the colours evident the same. The colours evident in the two media media products are black, white and blue. The reason why made the colours constant throughout these two media products is because I believed that it convey the theme of space and being out of reality very well. When creating both my magazine advert and digipak I made sure I kept the same shade of black and white the same and also how bright I want the image to appear on products. Another reason why I chose these two colours is because even though they are contrasting, they blend well to give out of reality feel which I want the audience to feel.

CONCLUSION

• In all, I do believe that the combination of ancillary task and main product product work well together. The use of specific fonts along with colours and images have created a image for an artist in which he can be recognizable with the target audience. The continuity evident in all of my media products also, I believe allowed me to be able to promote the artist and the brand of music he makes.
