EVALUATION PART 7

Looking back at your preliminary task (the school magazine task), what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full production.

Research and planning played a huge part in making my magazine a success, without it, I would have very limited knowledge on several topics. It has allowed me to express my creativity and use facts to back it up. Also when I completed my preliminary task, I only looked at one magazine to help my production. I took into consideration the layout of the products and missed a large amount of techniques to help me; photography, audience feedback and social groups represented.

RESEARCH AND PLANNING

CONTINUED…When I researched several other magazines, I realised they used the three palette rule. Therefore this allowed me to put it in my magazine. By using this, my magazine looked a lot more organised and professional and helped connote the genre of music. This can help the audience identify what genre my magazine represents and connotes, also if new editions of the magazine are released, it will be easily recognised by the target audience as It has been familiar because of the colour pallet.

I was then able to gain knowledge in technology and use it frequently. Before my research, I had very limited knowledge on technology in general, this connotes the effectiveness of the research and planning. Also using the camera, I was able to acknowledge; location, setting, positioning, this can determine the genre or Image I want.

TIME MANAGEMENT

Time management for my preliminary task was an issue. My work had been deleted and I had only several hours to complete a whole new one from scratch. I overcame this by using my time efficiently and completed it in a few hours.
