Queen Elizabeth National Park is right by Lake Edward and Lake George. On our way to the park, we crossed between the two lakes. Here is a picture looking down off the bridge at the fishing boats lined up along the shore.

Warthogs tend to be rather shy and hide from people but we saw many while we were at the park. Here is one soaking in a mud bath behind a bush.

These guys went hurrying to hide in the bushes as soon as we spotted them.

We drove up past the lake to get to the hotel where we were staying.

These warthogs apparently weren’t all that afraid of people as they were happily laying in the shade resting in the yard not far from our rooms.

After we were inside our room, a group of warthogs came and were grazing right outside our window underneath the laundry that was hung out to dry by the hotel staff.

After a short rest at the hotel we went out for a game drive that evening. I took quite a few pictures of the African landscape and the beautiful clouds. We drove around for a while before finding some animals.

There were several craters and crater lakes in the area. This is a picture of one of the craters and the next picture is of a crater lake.

A herd of buffalo

A pair of Crested Cranes. The Crested Crane is the national bird of Uganda and is depicted on the Ugandan flag.
