History of the televison

• In 1877 durning the Boston Civil War, servant George Cary had developed drawings of a "selenium camera" that would let people "see by electricity".

Since that time there were many ideas and experiments in the electrity and radio fields in

hopes of developing a television.

•In the 1800s Pual Kipkow developed the 1st mechanical module of a television.•In 1907 Boris Rosing created an electric TV system.•In 1923 Charles Jenkins (U.S) invented the 1st practical TV.•In 1926 John Baird (U.K) was the 1st to succeed in transmitting moving pictures.

• In 1927 Philo Farnsworth invented the 1st working electronic TV.

• The 1st US TV station was WRGB (1926)• The 1st commercial broadcast and advertisment

aired on July 1st 1941. • The 1st remote was created in 1948 called "Tele

Zoom" though it wasn't until 1955 when a remote was invented that could actually power on and off TVs and change channel.

• Ideas for color TV were talked of for many years. It wasn't until after World War II it became reality.

• The 1st electronic color TV was created in 1953 but it wasn't until 1966 until color TVs became popular.

and things of a sexual nature at a young age
