You need to spell it out for them what your page is about for the light bulb to go in their little bot heads.

On Page SEO: What’s Important?

So how do we make it perfectly clear to the bots what our page is all about?

By utilizing the following on page elements:

1. Post slug

2. H1 Tag

3-4. H2, H3 Tags

5. Images

6. Bold, Italic, Underline

7. Internal/External links

Permalink

Permalink (a.k.a. slug) contains keyword.

Make sure:

1. Title

2. Meta description

3. Meta keywords

Title

Title contains keyword. Title begins with keyword. Title contains at least 3 words. Title contains up to 66 characters.

Your meta title is NOT the same as your post title!

Add your title in the additional fields below your post edit box.

Important:

Meta Description

Description meta tag contains keyword. Description meta tag contains up to 160 characters. Description meta tag begins with keyword.

Keywords meta tag contains... you guessed... keyword.

H1 tag contains your keyword. H1 tag begins with keyword.

Content has 1.0-2.0% keyword density.

Content contains keyword in the first 50-100 words.

Content contains at least one bold keyword.

Content contains keyword in anchor text of at least one external link.

Content contains keyword in anchor text of at least one internal link.
