Goal:

Low Energy Consumption required to create and

maintain clusters in order to improve lifetime

Primary Controller in WSN

Initiate, terminate and route communication around

the network

CLUSTER HEAD

Cluster Head:

From each Cluster, one sensor is elected as Cluster

Head, which

- Collects Data from surrounding

sensors in that cluster.

-Passes that data to the Base Station or

the next Cluster Head.

LEACH uses Dynamic Clustering Method i.e job of

Cluster Head changes after some time.

If Network-out Event

Device ID == Source ID -the Next hop=CH of cluster

Device ID != Source ID -Next hop = Static route mentioned

If Network-In Event

Device ID == Destination ID -accept the packet for higher layer

Device ID != Destination ID -Generates Network-out event

and perform above steps
