▫To associate with the Facebook account that will be created

▫Do this before contacting Facebook for credit▫IMPORTANT: the new email address cannot be

linked to an existing Facebook account!▫Gmail is easiest for email creation▫Use a relevant/logical name!▫For example: A campaign for Widget Association

could use widget.ads@gmail.com▫Always add email info to Basecamp!

•Receiving credit:▫Beekeeper Group is billed for Facebook ads

with credit invoices▫Before setting up an ad campaign, contact

a Facebook Representative to activate your campaign ad account and receive credit.

1. Contact a Facebook representative with your request

▫ i.e. “Hi, I’m John from Beekeeper. We’d like to begin running a Facebook ad campaign for the Widget Association.”

▫ Include the name of the organization, the email address that you created, and the amount of credit you’re requesting.

▫ Ask for more money than you need immediately

2. The representative will send you back activation instructions.

▫ Log into the new Facebook account and create a new password.

3. Fill out the credit application.▫ Email the Facebook rep. to let s/he know

that this has been done

4. The rep will send you a message when the credit application has been processed.

▫ This can take several days▫ Follow-up if you don’t receive a response

after 24 hours

5. When the rep replies and tells you that the app has been processes and credit has been allocated, log into the ad account and click on Billing -> Payment Methods to confirm that the account credit is available.

▫ There should be a blue Facebook logo with the amount you requested under “Credit Limit” or “Credit Limit Available”

TIP!

•You can link the ad account to your personal account and manage ads from there.

•In the ad account sidebar, go to Settings and scroll to the “Ad Account Roles” section. Click the “Add a User” button and enter your name or the email associated with your personal account.
