1. Go to LinkedIn at www.linkedin.com

2. Confirm your account through your email address,

3. Edit your profile with a profile picture, sub-heading, area and industry underneath your name,

4. Add your current and past employment with descriptions of your jobs,

5. Add your education with degrees earned,

6. Add a summary,

7. Add specialties, e.g. skills and language,

8. Add connections and get recommendations,

9. Join a group.

Step 1 – Complete your profile and make it relevant

Step 2 – Seek recommendations

Step 3 – Link your Twitter Facebook, blog and website to your LinkedIn profile

Step 4 – Personalise your profile link

Step 5 – Search for and add groups

Step 6 – Add Everyone

Step 7 – Promote your LinkedIn profile

Step 8 – Use LinkedIn answers, try to answer 2 or 3 questions a week.
