Saurav Ganguly…… Dada.
Prince of culcatta.The god of the off side.The warrior prince.
Born into a sport loving
family.
Earlier he was attracted
towards football.
Being natural right hander, He bats with left hand
Going against his parents wish for making cricket as career.
But strongly supported by his brother.
Joined cricket coaching camp.
Eventually he replaced his brother in
Bengal Cricket Team.
He made his international debut in 1992 against West Indies.
Rumors of his attitude problemsAnd lack of respect for senior
players hurt Ganguly most.
After 4 years , he was called back for test series Vs England in 1996.
He scored 131 in that match And fixed his position in test & ODI team.
He along with his batting peers like Sachin, Dravid started winning matches on regular basis.
Sachin and Saurav started to open.
Became the captain of
Indian cricket team.Under his captiancy india
won some memoriable series.
Became the second Indian captain who
played world cup final. But Failed to repeat
the history made in1983.
His batting form started to slump.Team’s performance also degraded
In 2004-05.Subsequently he lost his captaincy
and his place from team.
He done hard work and again came back in team.
Scored his 1st double hundred in test cricket.
He led KKR in IPL.For 2 years.
Now he is playing for PWI.

Finally he took retirement from international cricket
in Nov 2008.
