The crowd gathers as Spielman, etc., gets ready to go on the air

From the back of Nationwide Arena, you can see press level at the top and front of the arena.

The press level hallway. There are 4 TV booths, 4 radio booths, and facilities for the NHL off-ice officials and team management for both teams.

Prior to the game, some of the signage is being changed on the scoreboard. It is lowered to the ice for work and will be raised after.

We had our own mini-fridge in the radio booth and everyone drank a lot of mountain dew.

Of course, the fridge was customized for Bill & George!

When I bought my Monte Carlo, I got vanity plates...

...reflecting my job.

My final work with the CBJ was the June 2007 NHL draft. The rows of white tables on the right was where all of the radio broadcasters for each of the teams did their draft shows.

The black tables were where the teams representatives picked their players.

This was the first day of the draft viewed from the radio booth upstairs.
