SAVED TO SERVE:

CRAFTED FOR

SERVICE

Craft - Good work or handwork.

God gave us the skill or ability especially in good

work or handiwork to make fashion with skill

for service.

Illustration: Must people acknowledge the good

work if it’s a hand made.

GOD DID NOT SAVE YOU JUST TO SAVE YOU

I. GOD SAVED YOU FOR

HIS PURPOSE.

Romans 8:28 28 And we know that God causes all things to work

together for good to those who love God, to those who

are called according to His purpose.   (NASB)

God saved you:A.

To conform you to His Son.

Con·form: to be similar to or

the same as something

: to obey or agree with something

Romans 8:29 29 For those whom He

foreknew, He also predestined to become

conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would

be the firstborn among many brethren; (NASB)

In order for to you to understand this:

We will read Ephesians 2:4-9

and I will explain it to you.

Ephesians 2:4-9 4 But because of his

great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,

Ephesians 2:4-9 5 made us alive with Christ even when we

were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have

been saved.

Ephesians 2:4-9 6 And God raised us up with Christ and

seated us with him in the heavenly realms in

Christ Jesus,

Ephesians 2:4-9 7 in order that in the coming ages he might

show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed

in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 2:4-9 8 For it is by grace you

have been saved, through faith—and

this is not from yourselves, it is the

gift of God—

Ephesians 2:4-9 9 not by works, so

that no one can boast.

1. Grace is God’s method of transformation.

Illustration: I’m worried the other day in may prayer

because ofmy weakness… but God

comforted me by explaining to me the reality of life here on

earth.

2. Heavenly places are your bases of operation.

God has another goal for your life that flows out of

the first:

To craft you for His service.

Ephesians 2:1010For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good

works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would

walk in them. (NASB)

We must remember that:

1. God blesses only His workmanship.

work·man·ship The quality of the work

that is done by someone

WORKMANSHIP  The art or skill of a workman or  the quality imparted to a

thing in the process of making.

Examples of WORKMANSHIP:

NEGATIVE: The problems were caused by cheap materials and poor workmanship.POSITIVE: The excellent workmanship of the cabinets is remarkable.

We must remember that:

2. God accepts only Good works not

Good things.

Philippians 2:12 12 So then, my beloved, just as you have always

obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your

salvation with fear and trembling;

What is the difference between works and good things?

If we are to be and do

all that we were saved for

II. GOD’s GOOD PLEASURE MUST

BECOME OUR PASSION.

Philippians 2:1313 for it is God who is at work

in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

(NASB)

Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and

the fellowship of his sufferings, being made

conformable unto his death…

Paul’s Passion:

Paul’s Passion: tagalog

This is the problem right now of those who are not

crafted in service.

They were nice people, but made no real contribution to their world, their country to their city, community, or to their church. They just kind

of blended into the landscape.

A GOOD WORK: A divinely authored work benefits somebody, other than

yourself in such a way it brings glory to God.

The words of the master still ring true

today.“To whom

much is given much is required.”

CONCLUSION

Matthew 14:27-29 27 But Jesus immediately

said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” 28

“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to

you on the water.”

Matthew 14:27-29 29 “Come,” he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward

Jesus.

Conclusion: Every time we step forward, the enemy will try to stop

us… but  I want you to know the enemy is a liar…

The only thing that I want you to do is to ask God…

“Lord is it you?” Then if it’s the Lord Go!!! no one can

stop you…
