1- ASTHANGA YOGA VINYASA Syllabus

 This course is very useful for Gurukula boys, students, young and middle aged people to gain physical health, strength, steadiness, balance and lightness, sense control, concentration and patience.

The course includes the practice of traditional Asthanga Yoga Vinyasa, a unique method of Yoga with synchronizing body movements (vinyasa) and deep breathing (ujjayee svasochvasa), concentration (drsthi), steadiness (sthiti), energy locks (bandha), etc.

2- SHAT-KRIYA(Course on Hatha Yoga)

 Kriyas are the powerful body cleaning techniques of Hatha Yogis.

Kriyas are not meant for regular practices.

They are practiced when there is imbalanced state of tri-doshas, Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

COURSE OUTLINE

 1) Jalaneti: cleaning the nose/nasal passage with warm saline water2) Sutraneti: cleaning the nasal passage with thread3) Vastra dhouti: removal of excess mucus from the chest region4) Vamana dhouti: cleaning the abdomen of excess bile and mucus5) Trataka: removal of excess kapha from the eye region

6) Mulashodhana: cleaning anal region7) Basti: cleaning the colon region 8) Kapala Bhati: cleaning the sinuses9) Shanka Prakshalana: cleaning the whole digestive tract, etc.

3- YOGA THERAPY(Only for Below Specified Health Problems)

 Back ache, neck pain, excess mucus problems, gastric-acidity, cold and cough, nasal allergy, running nose, bronchial asthma, sinusitis, overweight-obesity, under weight, weak resistance power, poor digestion and absorption, irregular bowel movement and constipation. This course includes the practice of Sukshma vyayama, Hatha Yoga Kriyas, Surya Namaskara, Asanas, Pranayama and guidance on food intake.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION• Prananath das is the Director of Sahyadri Yoga Shala, near the Town of

Hebri, Udupi District, South India which is running under the guidance of H.H. RP Bhakti Raghava Swami, Minister for ISKCON Daiva Varnasrama Ministry for India (IDVM-India) established in 2009.

• He completed his Ph.D. in Yoga from Mysore University and his Masters of Science in Yogic Science, a post-graduate course in Yoga Therapy from Mangalore University. He has done his Diploma in Nature Cure from Chaitanya Naturopathy Academy, Kerala. He has served the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan as a Lecturer and Yoga Therapist. He is a Member of All India Yoga Practitioners Association, an association of Yoga Therapists.

• At present he is learning traditional Asthanga Yoga Vinyasa with Yogacharya Sri Krsna Pattabhi Jois of Mysore.
