Bringing God to Work

Ten Ways to Introduce Prayer into Your Workplace

Meditate on His Word

When You Wake

“Sing to the Lord, praise His name; proclaim His salvation day after day”.Psalm 96: 2

On Your Way to Work

“The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it.” Proverbs 10:22.

Pray For Your Colleagues

Pray, remembering that everything comes from God. Be thankful for the job and ask God to bless your co-workers, suppliers, customers, clients and bosses.

When You Turn On The Computer

“Open my lips, Lord, and my mouth will declare Your praise.”Psalm 51:15

Before a Meeting

“Listen, for I have trustworthy things to say; I open my lips to speak what is right.”Proverbs 8:6

When You Make and Receive Calls

Ask God to guide your tongue and to let there be clarity and understanding during the call. Ask that your words be pleasing to God.

In a Sales Meeting or Negotiation

“But now be so kind as to look at me. Would I lie to your face? Relent, do not be unjust; reconsider for my integrity is at stake. Is there any wickedness on my lips? Can my mouth not discern malice?”Job 6: 28-30.

Before a Presentation

“It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my ways secure.” Psalm 18: 32

Working Late

Ecclesiastes 3: 1 “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”

Shutting Down The Computer

Give thanks for your day. Remember the difficulties that you got through and give thanks. Remember the blessings, and give thanks.

Travelling Home

Take time to put aside your day and re-focus on your loved ones. Look for places, in your following day, where God can come in and be of special assistance.
