•WEALTH and possessions (5:10-20)•FAME, beauty, and popularity (6:1-2)•Human relationships (7:26-29)

He warns that “happy

and prosperous” lives

centered on earthly earthly things will end

end in

DISAPPOINTMENT.

He advises us to center

our lives in GOD and to

discover our God-given

PURPOSE. (12:13)

Do This!

•KNOW God! •Trust God! •LOVE God supremely! •OBEY God! (Matt. 6:24, 33; Eccles. 12:13-14)

Understand that God

made you in His IMAGE

and for His GLORY.

Know and believe God

LOVES you and wants a

relationship with you.

BELIEVE in the Lord

Jesus Christ for the

forgiveness of your

SINS. (Acts 16:31; Rom.

10:9

Make it your goal to be

like CHRIST, through the

power of the Holy Spirit.

Participate in

WORSHIP to God and

FELLOWSHIP with other

believers. (Heb. 10:24-

25; Matt. 18:19-20; 1 Cor

1:9)

Love OTHERS

as God loves you. (Jn. 13:34-35; 15:12)

SERVE God and others

with the talents and

gifts He has given you.

Don’t be all wrapped up

in getting; learn to GIVE

and share.
