When you hear the word "online forum" what comes into your mind? I bet you think they are going the way of the dodo bird right? Well you might want to rethink that! With more than 6 million people using forums for so many reasons, forums are not going to go away anytime soon. Online forums are used by young people, older people,Geeks, nerds and everyday people looking to solve a problem or to just be social. When you think about community and sharing, the forum is the grandparent to such giants as Facebook, Google+ and those who use forums can teach these youngsters a thing or two about how things are done lol The fact is forums are a great way to market your business, learn about many topics and to share a passion.

Once you have registered to a forum,take the time to look around and see what is being offered ( not all forums are created equally).
Create your profile ( make it a good one) and add a good image of yourself.
Most Forums allow forum signatures.."a little advertisement you write about your business that is automatically attached to every forum post you make."
Online forums are made of people..seriously! Make sure you are connecting to build a relationship!
Remember the golden rule “Treat others as you want to be treated”? Many people forget that rule and tend to say things that maybe should never have been said and act in ways shows lack of composure. Think before you speak and consider this, if you were trying to build credibility.. then it can be gone in an instant with that kind of behavior.
Don’t forget that the reason you joined a forum was to contribute! Become a person of value and ask questions, offer your opinion and reply to questions that are asked. The reality is that the more involved you become, the more known you become.
