10 ,000 HOURS TO BECOME A MASTER?
It has often been claimed that to become truly great - a master of something - you must spend around 10,000 hours in practise… Then you will become a master.
There is certainly no denying that some of the world’s greatest athletes honed their skills through many, many years of dedication.

So according to this really nifty website that I found (www.10000hourscalculator.com) if I want to become a golf master, and it takes 10,000 hours to master something - I would need to practice for 2 hours a day, every-single-day for 13.7 years, before I can claim the 10,000 hour 'Master' title.
SO… I DON’T REALLY HAVE 13 .7 YEARS TO WORK OUT MY LIFE…
No need to panic.
We have a solution.
According to Occam’s Razor, "Entities must not be multiplied beyond necessity."
Put more plainly, "The simplest answer is usually correct."

Often, the best way to tackle a large project, is to break it down into more easily digested 'bite-sized pieces'.
So if we break 10,000 down into 100 time by 100, suddenly it seems WAY less daunting.
Just to be clear, this is what 10,000 looks like
compared to 100.

The square root of 10,000 is 100.
That is to say, 100 times by 100 gives you 10,000 as its answer.
This is of course still a huge amount of work…
So let’s look at this from a different angle

What if we took two paths - one his your career skills, the other is your hobby/passion - overlaid them at an angle, and looked at the intersection?
So instead of trying to be a 10,000 hour master of one thing - you are the master of a much more detail niche.
