Indulgent Christmas Eggnog

What you need…

6 eggs 2 + 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream 2 cups whole milk 1 cup caster sugar 1/2 cup brandy 1/2 cup dark rum 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

extract 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg,

ground or grated

Step 1

In a medium bowl, beat the eggs together hard until they are very frothy.

Step 2

Pour the cups of milk into the bowl and mix well.

Step 3

A little at a time, add in the whipping

cream, continuing to beat.

Step 4

Add sugar and continue beating.

Step 5

Sprinkle in nutmeg and vanilla.

Step 6

Beat the mixture a little at a time.

Step 7

Finally, beat in the rum and brandy.

Now it’s time for you to take a rest from all that beating...Put the eggnog in the fridge to chill.

One or two hours later…

Step 8

Your eggnog is ready!

Serve chilled with a sprinkle of nutmeg

or cinnamon.

Your eggnog is ready to be served to your guests with Christmas puddings and chocolates!
